"Top notch operation. Initial call Tuesday. Pete came out same day. Measured staircase, explained our options. Extremely knowledgeable. Decided to go with his recommendation. On Wednesday, his son Tommy installed unit. He was assisted by his brother-in-law Lenny. Truly a family operation. Installation was done in a little over an hour. Less than 24 hours from our initial call to stairlift completed. These are the people you want installing your stairlift.!!"

"My uncle purchased the chairlift in 2015 for my aunt who passed away in 2017. The lift was a Godsend both for my aunt and now my uncle who has been thru several foot surgeries since then. Nine years later the battery needed replaced (9 years!!!!) and a few months after, the computer (understandable). Both times we called for service and John happily came out to take care of it. Yesterday the lift stopped working and when I talked to John and gave him the F6 code he said that meant something was stuck in the gears. He drove from Northport to Port Jeff after he finished his job late yesterday afternoon to fix the chair and pulled out a piece of drywall that must have fallen from a ceiling repair that was done the day before. The lift works perfectly again and my uncle is very happy. (By the way, I use it to carry heavy items up and down the stairs either by sitting with them on my lap or strapping them in and using the remote.) We highly recommend John and his company. Truly an exemplary company that delivers service with a smile."

"My mother’s stairlift stopped working and I needed a new one quickly. I called Acorn Stairlifts and they gave me an appointment a week away to come and take measurements, and they said it could take up to a week for it to be installed. I couldn’t wait that long. I found Long Island Stairlifts online, and called to make an appointment. I explained my situation to Pete and in less than an hour he arrived at my house. He explained my options and then took measurements. The stairlift was installed less than 24 hours later, on a Sunday morning, by Pete’s son Tom and another fellow named Lenny. They did a great job in removing the old stairlift and in installing the new one. It only took about an hour, and they even took the old one with them. The price was super reasonable and I found the whole process to be a pleasant one. It is rare to find such great customers service! Diana"

"I had a very stressful situation when my stairlift stopped working. The lift is over five years old, and when I contacted the original company that installed it, the experience was unpleasant right away. They immediately began quoting high costs—over $200 just for a service visit, another $300+ for a battery if that was the issue, and then pushed an $800 one-year service contract. It felt transactional and insensitive, especially considering stairlifts are used by elderly and disabled people. Feeling overwhelmed, I searched for another option and found Long Island Stairlifts. I’m so glad I did. I spoke with John Mueller, who was friendly, professional, and reassuring from the start. After checking my address, John called back and said he was nearby and could stop by within about 10 minutes. He inspected the lift, confirmed it was the battery, replaced it, and had everything working again quickly. John was genuinely pleasant to deal with—clear explanations, no pressure, and no sales tactics. His experience showed, but without the aggressive upselling I encountered elsewhere. I strongly recommend Long Island Stairlifts to anyone needing help with a stairlift—whether purchasing, repairing, servicing, or even removing one. Don’t hesitate to call them."
